Oh I do enjoy shopping in Space NK, it’s one of my guilty pleasures and last week I happen to be in Knightsbtridge so I took the opportunity to have a nose around. I’ve been in a lot of Space NK but the Knightsbridge one always has my heart because of the Diptyque corner and the staff are always so friendly. There was a few things on my list to try and so it just happened like that…
I had my eye on the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick for a while well since it’s launched but my local Space NK doesn’t stock Hourglass (boo) so this was my earliest opportunity to try this little gal. I like foundation sticks and the convenience of them and this one promises medium to full coverage with minimal blending and comes in a unique triangular packaging. First impressions wise in store I like the texture of this and it was super creamy and definitely reminds of my Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick. I was overwhelmed by the shade ranges so I was matched Warm Ivory which has the perfect yellow undertone without making me look sallow. This is a foundation and concealer in one and what really sold me is the long wearing part. I usually apply my makeup fairly early in the morning and don’t come home till late so I want something that will hold on all day and I got high hopes for this!
I also picked up this Ouai Wave Spray on recommendation from Ree since it was her event and I been looking for a product that holds my wave in place without being too heavy and crispy. I heard really good things about Ouai products so I’m excited to try this and since cutting my hair off a little shorter I been playing with texture and waves a little more so I got high hopes for this! I find products don’t really stay in my hair since it’s poker straight so the recommended way to apply this is on towel dry hair. I sprayed this liberally all over my locks from root to tip and just work it into my hair before blow drying it and from first impressions I really like the smell+spray applicator. My first go using this I was really impressed by the results, my hair is more voluminous and looks very effortless. Thumbs up from me.
I was so excited for this Hourglass Surreal Light Palette to launch after seeing a few snaps on Instagram and finally Space NK had it! I actually pre-ordered this online as well but I was so impatient I had to pick this up in store straight away! I got a feeling this palette is going sell out fast since it’s limited edition and it’s all new shades too and I’m such a huge fan of Hourglass ambient lighting powders so definitely glad to have this. Bonus brownie points to the marble packaging too which is just simply gorgeous. I have harped on about this palette more Here and I definitely think it’s worth picking up.
The final product I snapped up is this Sunday Riley Martian Mattifying Melting Water Gel Toner. I spotted this on the Sephora website and was super intrigued about it. This is more for oily/acne prone skin and promises to shrinks pore size and transforms from a cooling gel to a water toner and clarifies the skin. I haven’t got really acne prone skin but recently I have been getting a few breakouts lately so I picked this up to use as a precaution and also as a treatment. The range also launched an oil which is definitely a treatment for more active acne prone skin types and I think this would be a great product to use and play with!
Space NK you definitely won my heart (and my money) over with your best beauty buys and I will forever be your loyal fan. Have you got your eye on any of these?
Thanks for reading as usual!
