#The Edit- What I’m Packing For France- Makeup

IMG_3867So by the time you’re reading this I’ll be trotting off to Paris for a week away in the city and I thought I’d do a post showing you guys what makeup bits I taken with me. The weather is fairly similar over there as it is Europe after all so I didn’t go crazy with SPF and cream products. I have more or less just packed the products I will use on multiple days and evenings when I need to glam up a little more so probably some things won’t come as a surprise to you regular readers out there.

IMG_3869For my Base I have packed my trusty Laura Mercier Protect primer with a SPF of 30. This is great as it is super light weight and it doubles up as a SPF too so no additional layering. I always go with a primer and this one is great all year round.

Foundation wise I have taken two options, for lighter days and days when I want to even out my skin tone I have been using this Urban Decay One and Done Complexion Hybrid Perfecter. This is great as the packaging is super travel friendly and it has a pump applicator which I prefer and it provides light to medium coverage. As for foundation I have repurchased the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. This is a great light weight foundation and it provides a very beautiful dewy finish yet looking natural. This is also great to add a little coverage in the evening but as it is water based it’s very easy to wear.

To conceal the tiredness I have really been enjoying using the Charlotte Tilbury Miracle Eye Wand. I have been using this just over two weeks and it’s absolutely amazing. The eye cream I pat under my eyes and it works as a great base with the concealer. They work hand in hand with each other and the concealer is super brightening and moisturizing. I still have some acne scarring I need to conceal so I been rekindling my love with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I wasn’t a huge fan of this at first but it does conceal pretty well and I like to doe foot applicator. I thought I’d give this another go.

For my Brows I have discovered something amazing. If you been reading my posts then you’ll know I’m completely obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury’s Legendary Brow. I done a whole blog post Here┬áraving about this product. I been using this with my Soap and Glory Brow Archery to make my brows a little thicker and I said before this is a great dupe for the Anastasia Brow Whiz.

IMG_3870 Eye Shadow wise I decided to take a palette and a stick shadow. Because I’m on holidays I didn’t want to wear too much makeup so for my palette that can take me from day to night I took my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette. This is probably my most used palette and it’s just so many ways to wear this. I usually just use the prime and enhance shade for a very day time look and smoke it up with the red and glitter in the evening. This is definitely my favorite palette of all and it’s worth investing in. For cream shadow stick I have decided to take two. The fist is Laura Mercier Cavier Stick in Amethyst which is a really pretty purple shade and it really makes my eyes pop. I have also thrown in my By Terry Ombre Black Star in Bronze Moon. These are fool proof to apply and you can use your fingertips to blend away.

As for Mascara I have been enjoying using the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lash. This is great to give volume but unfortunately it transfers like crap on your bottom lashes so I’m also taking my Tarte Gifted Mascara. I also thrown in my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner as it’s an everyday essential.IMG_3880I took my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette with me as the shades are very wearable adding a hint of color on the cheeks and I usually like to swirl them together and customize my shade.

Finally lip products. I’m a lipstick junkie and I decided to take a nude and red. For nudes I taken my Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria & Chanel Coco Shine Lipstick in Aventure. These are great throw on shades and perfect for day to day. For a pop of color I dug out an oldie. Nars Audacious lipstick in Vera. I like this because it’s different to your standard red and it is also very long lasting.

So that’s my ramble of makeup over. It’s actually a lot compact than it sounds as no doubt I’ll be picking up more beauty goodies in Paris (oh hello Sephora).

Hope you all enjoyed this post. Thanks For Reading.

Lots of Love.
