#The Edit- Getting A Glow On Your Skin

Do you sometimes wake up and look in the mirror and think “oh dear I haven’t been pampering myself” we all been there and there’s not always the time in the world to do a full on pamper. Here are some products that really help give my skin and overall complexion a boost of radiance and you’ll be glowing and looking really radiant.

Exfoliate- this makes a huge difference in giving my skin a boost. Removing dead skin on a regular basis would make your makeup application smoother and also it smoothies out any lumps and bumps too. My favourite is Zelens Micro Refiner which is more of a creamy scrub and it’s really gentle to use twice a week. I love Zelens as a brand and this is gentle enough for my semi sensitive skin.
Hydrate- if your skin is hydrated then everything just looks a little bit better and since my skin is still a little on the dry side and this from The Body Shop Vit E Hydrating Mist fits the routine perfectly. I like sprays as they are so handy to throw in your bag as a top up or refresher and I like to use this after cleansing and it just locks in the moisture.
Moisturise- this is my new favourite moisturiser. It’s a new launch from The Body Shop and it’s part of the vitamin C range which helps brightens and injects a little radiance into the skin. This is a gel texture so it sinks in to the skin incredibly quick and sits really well under makeup. I would highly recommend picking this up for the upcoming spring summer months.
Let’s move on to makeup, here are some products I use to give my skin a little bit of radiance and glow.
Perfecting- By Terry Cover Expert- this is my go to foundation and it’s not really a glowy foundation but it sits somewhere in between velvet finish and it lasts all day. I got the shade 7 which is a perfect match for me and this is one of the best high end foundations I have used and would highly recommend picking this up if you after a new foundation.
Perfecting-Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation- now this is a good boosting foundation. I like this because it’s not heavy at all and it’s really moisturising too. It sits somewhere between a tinted moisturiser and a lightweight foundation and it’s perfect for spring summer. I got the shade 06 which is perfect Match for me and I think this is such a unique formula and it almost feels invisible on the skin, hardly detectable. Think model skin in a bottle.
Concealing-By Terry Densiliss Concealer- I mentioned this before and I will say again. It’s phenomenal. It’s one of the best concealer I have ever used and although it’s expensive you really do get your money’s worth as a little sweep goes a long way. This product brightens under the eyes and hides all the imperfections and blemishes like no other concealer does and it stays put all day too. The finish of this is seriously brightening and it’s perfect for a little bit of light and radiance. I bow down to you By Terry Densiliss, seriously do.
All rounder- Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Liquid Lighting- let’s finish this post with a good all rounder product. I can’t quite work out what to call this, a highlighter? Illuminator? Whatever it does a bit of everything. This bad boy I can mix it in with my foundation for that extra oompf of glow or you can just pat this on top of your cheek bones for that highlight look. I love this product and it actually works as a eyeshadow too with a little bit of blending and a little bit of buffing. Job done.
So these are some products I use to give my complexion a little extra something. What products do you use to get a glow?
