#The Edit- FOTD, going all the way with Tom Ford

Good morning guys! Well since Iwas up at 5AM for no reason today I was scrolling through Twitter (as you do at 5am) after trying for an hour to get back to sleep but failed I came across Sandra from TT Sandra’s latest post talking about one of Tom Ford’s relaunch, cream eyeshadows that was part of the limited edition a few years back. Good old Mr Tom Ford has decided to relaunch two shades from his limited edition shadows which is spice, a rich bronzy colour that gives the perfect warmth and depth to the eyes and a no fuss cream eyeshadow too. Another shade which is released too is platninum, a really nice shade too which I am getting my paws on this week. Sandra was talking about spice and it reminded me of how much I loved it and that I actually haven’t used it for a while and it’s gathering dust in the back of the drawer. Thanks Sandra, now this has made its way back into the front line.

I have to admit, I’m a little hoarder when it comes to Tom Ford, I just love everything about it and it’s so luxurious and having owning over 10 Tom Ford lipstick I can certainly say it is one of the best high end brand I have tried. I have accumilated quite a small collection over the years and there are just some things that just stands out and works really well for me. Right enough waffling from me, let’s get started with what I got on my face.

Base- Tom Ford Tracelsss perfection foundation in 04 bisque. I have a love/hate relationship with this foundation, there’s a certain way to apply it to make it look flawless. I found the best way for me I’d using my sephora full coverage foundation brush and pressing the product onto the face as to buffing it in straight away.

Brows- you know the drill by now, Tom Ford brow sculptor in Esperesso has been my go to brow pencil for about 2 yeàrs now and my love hasn’t changed. I have amped it up with my Anastasia brow wiz using  it to define my brows more and create a base for the brows. I set them using a brow gel from Rimmel.

Cheeks and highlight- skip the contour, it’s all about this kit, this was part of their fall collection, I believe it’s still available in some TF concessions so seriously run to one because it’s simply amazing. It’s a duo and I use the ‘contour’ shade for a blush and it gives a really nice glow to the complexion. This is incredibly pigmented so I literally just tap my brush onto the product and you got colour on the brush so I would go light handed with it. The highlight shade is also really nice, really livens up the complexion and I use this on the high points of my cheeks and on my brow bones too.

Lips- Tom Ford lipstick in Forbidden Pink. This is a Asia exclusive shade so not available anywhere in Europe sorry! But the only colour that’s really similar to this is Spanish pink which is also really lovely. Again the lipsticks are amazing, I own over 10 and will continue to grow my collection.

The rest of the face- for mascara I used a combination of two, lancome precious cells mascara which is a really lengthening one and just lifts my lashes and also chanel Le volume de chanel to amp up the volume. To conceal I used Ellis Faas concealer in S202 and body shop lightening touch in 01 to brighten under the eyes.

So here I am, even though I had 5 hour sleep this makeup is making me seriously perk up and look like I had an extra 3 hour sleep 😉

You done it again Mr Ford, I’m head over heels with your new stuff! Can I tempt you to any?

Kawai x
